Hawaiian Christmas: Beach shave ice and some more beach time!

We were so excited for some nice Hawaiian sun and for a fun beach day. But Kala took some convincing. By some convincing, I mean begging a pleading. Haha. He would not go into the water but decided it would be OK to play in the sand. Which was short lived because the water came up and floored the hole they were digging. It scared the crap out of Kala which then took more convincing, which he finally decided that he could play in the sand again but he wouldn't dare turn his back to the water. Poor kid. He's Hawaiian and is terrified of the ocean.

The beginning of the end

Refusing... And to scared to participate.

The chub's. I love this baby.

Benson's first time in the ocean!

And he was all smiles!

Trying to get a cousin picture. Nearly impossible. Turned into one big crying fest for the littles.

The next time we went to the beach Kala recalled his somewhat tramcars experience with the water and had to walk the furthest away from the water as possible while walking down the beach. He had a lot of fun playing in the sand with his cousin kawika though. So good to have cousin time. He was in heaven.

My nephew Tre was the complete opposite of Kala. He could not get enough of the water. It was so cute.

We got shave ice after the beach. Aokis and Matsumotos. Smart more could you ask for. Yum!!
